POLYFLY has secured second place at the InnovAction Stage awards, a congress that recognizes proposals with the greatest potential to transform the European seed industry. This recognition places us among the year’s most outstanding technological initiatives and reinforces our commitment to science-based innovation, aimed at improving productivity and sustainability in pollination for seed production.

The top prize went to the German company phenoLytics, which specializes in advanced 3D and 4D phenotyping technologies using X-rays and lasers, while the third position was awarded to the Swedish company Cgrain, dedicated to automating the visual inspection of grains using artificial intelligence for accurate and objective seed analysis and classification.

With this significant recognition, POLYFLY strengthens its leadership in AgTech and its commitment to science-based innovation.

This recognition validates our natural pollination solution using managed hoverflies and confirms the potential of hoverflies as a strategic tool to reduce pollination deficits, optimize yields, and ensure productive stability for seed campaigns.

Marc Vaez-Olivera, CEO and co-founder of POLYFLY, stated that “this recognition validates years of work alongside the sector to turn hoverflies into a reliable, scalable, and sustainable pollination tool.” He added that “our goal is to help seed companies and producers to improve seed yield and quality, while ensuring a more robust supply chain that is less exposed to disruptions that could affect pollinator availability,” he said.

With this recognition, POLYFLY reinforces its leadership in AgTech and its commitment to science-based innovation. Currently, we are focused on creating an international distribution and technology transfer network to expand access to these managed pollinators worldwide.

Euroseeds Congress 2025

Held from October 19 to 22, 2025, at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), the Euroseeds Congress is the main annual meeting for the European seed sector, bringing together leading companies, SMEs, startups, and technology centers with the sector’s most promising proposals each year. This edition was moderated by Shawn Brook (President of Seed World Group) and Garlich von Essen (Secretary General and CEO of Euroseeds).

Among its main conclusions, it was highlighted how innovation in the seed sector depends on curiosity, collaboration, and perseverance, driving the connection between talent, investment, and technology. Furthermore, its program of presentations and activities combined business, innovation, and regulatory debate. The next edition, in 2026, will take place in the city of Valencia.
